	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/287097/287097_1183855613_small.jpg"><br><br>A rendering created to study alternative materials and colors for a simple radio I designed in 2004.  Since material choices in the original project were limited by a tight budget, I wanted to see how the product could have looked if there were more possibilities.  This image is the result of some exploration into those ideas.  More info on the entire project from a design perspective at my website.  Created in Maya/mental ray from AliasStudio surfaces.  Textures in Illustrator and Photoshop.  Post work also in Photoshop.]]>

An art director friend of mine needed photos of some of her print work but didn't have time to mock everything up (or have immediate access to a photo studio).  In one crazy weekend, I created a series of renderings that she was able to use instead.  Created in Maya.  She completed the original 2D design work in Illustrator and Photoshop.
